..And now, on to the tips!
Generally Speaking..
Please let me know if you want to show any tattoos that you may have.
Because peeling skin does not look attractive in photos,
please avoid over-sunning or sunburn.
Breakouts? Do not worry about minor complexion problems.
These can be fixed post-session. Also, scars and braces can be removed as well.
You; you are the only one “You” in this world. Bring along items to the
session that help define who you are;such as a guitar, soccer ball, hobbies,
even a car. Remember, these images are about self-expression,
who you are in this moment. Use your creativity!

Ladies
With pictures, small details do matter! Please have your nails trimmed and polished.
Don’t forget your toes! As tempting as it might be, I do not recommend trying out
any new hairstyles or coloring in the event you are not satisfied with the outcome; however
a hair trim is a great idea. Feel free to bring along any hair accessories or hats you’d like.
As for makeup, slightly heavier makeup photographs well, but be sure not to over-do it.
Pay extra attention to the eye makeup, avoiding clumps in the mascara.
For shine, bring along translucent powder or blotting pads.
Now for clothing: for black and white images, wearing black is best.
A black top and a favorite pair of jeans will offer up a nice contrast between your
skin and clothing; this looks fabulous in black and white images. Clothes that
flatter you are the way to go, baggy clothes often times can make you look larger.
Also, be aware of the right undergarments. White pants and flowered underwear
do not mix! Go for something more natural colored instead.
Gentlemen
Like suggested to the ladies, it is recommended that you do not try out any new
hair styles right before your session, just in case you are not happy with how things
turn out. Like hats? Great, but please do not wear the hat until it is time for the shot.
We don’t want any red lines showing up on your forehead from the hat.
Bring something that will look good in black and white images, such as a pair
of jeans and a black shirt, and also bring some clothing for color images – don’t
be afraid of bold colors and patterns. Jackets, coats, ties, and other accessories
are great to put on for a few shots too. Whatever makes you … YOU!

Lastly, relax! Take a deep breath … this will be a fun experience; a memory
that will last a lifetime. Congratulations as you begin a new chapter in your life.
On behalf of Be Captured Photography, I wish you much success!
